Directions for your visit

Morostig is committed to preserving the natural and cultural environment, and to ensuring the well-being and safety of visitors.

We can only realise our efforts with your help, so please:

  • wear appropriate footwear for your visit due to the possibility of slipping,

  • observe the warning, marking, and orientation signs on the themed route,

  • visit the pile dwelling settlement only according to the published timetable,

  • follow the themed route and the pile dwelling settlement only on foot,

  • walk only on the marked areas and paths,

  • respect, and do not tear or destroy, bog plants or disturb bog animals,

  • admire the waters and their inhabitants from a distance,

  • walk dogs on leads and pick up your dog’s faeces,

  • take waste with you and dispose of it in bins,

  • handle signs, equipment, and built structures with respect,

  • leave music players at home,

  • communicate calmly and quietly,

  • be aware of the possibility of fire.

Remember to take a bottle of water and sunscreen in the summer months, and appropriate clothing and footwear in the colder half of the year, and in bad weather.

Small children and school groups are more than welcome, but only with accompanying teachers who are responsible for their safety.

Guided tours are compulsory for groups of more than 15 visitors and for all school groups. Guided tours for groups are subject to advance reservation and the booking of a date, and are provided by the manager for a fee.

Photography and filming for the purpose of publishing images and videos, and any profit-making activity must be authorised in writing by the manager.

Visitors who do not follow the instructions will be obliged to leave the area immediately without refunding the cost of the ticket. The municipality of Ig will claim compensation for the damage caused, which means that the visitor is responsible for the damage caused by disregarding the rules of the place and ignoring the warnings of the manager.
