This year we are celebrating the 150th anniversary of the discovery of the pile dwellings in Ig, one of the most important archaeological sites of the pile dwelling culture in Slovenia. 

On this special occasion, we are preparing a varied summer program for all lovers of prehistory and the heritage of the pile dwellers. From July 17 to 27, families are invited to an exciting adventure, the Pile Dwelling Treasure Hunt! With the help of clues and a map, you will explore the Ljubljana Marshes, learn about the life of the pile dwellers, and win a small pile-dweller treasure. Fun and learning guaranteed!

Don't miss the Saturday demonstrations of pile dwelling craft techniques (July 26), where you can see with your own eyes how the prehistoric inhabitants of our region once made tools, clay vessels, and other everyday objects. 

The events will take place in the Morostig House, the Morostig thematic trail, and the pile dwelling. Join the celebration of the rich heritage and learn about the life of the pile dwellers in a different and exciting way.
